Nadine, Baron, Dimples, at Mon wagi sa 39th Star Awards for Movies

MATAGUMPAY ang pagbibigay ng mga parangal ng PMPC sa mga natatanging pelikulang ginawa at ipinalabas noong panahon ng pandemya pati na rin ang mga mahuhusay na mga artista at tao sa likod ng camera sa ginanap na 39th Star Awards for Movies sa Winford Resort and Casino Manila nitong Linggo, Nobyembre 24.

Itinanghal na Movie of the Year ang "Family Matters" ng Cineko Productions and Top Story at ang "Mamasapano: Now It Can Be Told" ng Borracho Film Productions. Habang ang "Broken Blooms" ng BenTria Productions ang nagwaging Indie Movie of the Year.

Present lahat ng winners sa top acting categories kaya personal na tinanggap ang kanilang tropeyo nina Nadine Lustre (Movie Actress of the Year - "Deleter"), Baron Geisler (Movie Actor of the Year - "Doll House"), Dimples Romana (Movie Supporting Actress of the Year - "My Father, Myself"), at Mon Confiado (Movie Supporting Actor of the Year - "Nanahimik Ang Gabi").

Espesyal na mga parangal ang iginawad sa dalawang institusyon sa showbiz dahil sa dami ng kanilang mga kontribusyon sa industriya. Ang veteran actor at komedyanteng si Roderick Paulate ang tumanggap ng Nora Aunor Ulirang Artista Lifetime Achievement Award. Ibinigay naman sa Seiko Films big boss na si Robbie Tan ang Ulirang Alagad ng Pelikula sa Likod ng Kamera Lifetime Achievement Award. Nakaka-touch ang pagbibigay-pugay ni Roderick kay Boss Robbie matapos aminin ng aktor na nakagawa rin siya ng nga pelikula sa ilalim ng Seiko Films ng veteran producer.

Ang 39th Star Awards for Movies ay inorganisa ng mga opisyal at miyembro ng PMPC sa pangunguna ng Pangulo nito na si Rodel Ocampo Fernando. 

“Congratulations sa lahat ng winners at nominado. Sa mga artista at manggagawa sa harap at likod ng kamera sana patuloy pa po niyong yakapin at mahalin ang Pelikulang Pilipino. Huwag po sana kayong magsawa sa paggawa at paglikha ng mga pelikula. Mabuhay ang Pelikulang Pilipino!" pahayag ni Fernando.

Katuwang ng PMPC sa Gabi ng Parangal ang Winford Resort and Casino Manila kasama ang Abante Teletabloid; Abante; Abante Tonite; Prage Management Corporation; Ecojam Entertainment Productions; Aura Beauty and Wellness; Intele Builders and Development Corporation; DWAR 1494 Abante Radyo; Philippine Wine Merchants; AQ Prime Music; Hon. Nagsilbing direktor si Vivian Poblete-Blancaflor ng awards night hosted by Gladys Reyes, Joee Guilas, at Ara Mina. Nag-perform naman sina Gerald Santos, PPOP groups na Bilib at Zéla, Sephy Francisco, Klinton Start, Bravo Angels, at Ima Castro.
