Marcos Mamay closes 2025 with landmark achievements in public service and entertainment

VICE MAYOR Marcos Mamay wraps up 2025 with a remarkable year of achievements, solidifying his rising national profile in both public service and the Philippine entertainment industry.
To celebrate his achievements in 2025, Mamay recently organized a Thanksgiving Party at the Music Box attended by his friends and supporters from showbiz and politics including the entertainment press and bloggers. Among the celebrities who attended were Jeric Raval, Gerald Santos, Ynez Veneracion, Alma Concepcion, Lance Raymundo, Hero Bautista, Vince TaƱada, Johrey Rivas, Sandro Muhlach, Mad Ramos, JM Yosures, and more.Also present were public servants and personalities from the Muslim community led by civic leader and journalist Samira Gutoc.
Another highlight of the event was the launch of Mamay's inspirational book entitled "The Pugilist," which tackles how he endured the era of distraction and fragmented society.
POLITICAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS
On November 26, Mamay was elected Vice President for Operations of the Vice Mayors League of the Philippines (VMLP) during its 29th National Convention at the Manila Hotel. He also serves as National Vice President of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP), strengthening his role in national governance and policy leadership.
A former three-term mayor of Nunungan, Lanao del Norte, Mamay is credited with transforming the municipality through major infrastructure projects, peace-building initiatives, and economic development, elevating Nunungan from third-class to first-class.
SHOWBIZ ACHIEVEMENTS & AWARDS
Beyond public office, Mamay reached new heights in show business. His inspirational biopic, "MAMAY: A Journey to Greatness," directed by Neal “Buboy” Tan, chronicles his rise from hardship to leadership. Mamay also served as Assistant Director, ensuring an authentic portrayal of Maranao culture and traditions.
The film dominated the 73rd FAMAS Awards, winning five major honors: Best Supporting Actor (Jeric Raval), Best Production Design, Best Musical Score, Best Original Song, and Best Cinematography. Mamay himself received two special accolades: Film Producer of the Year for Mamay Productions and the Presidential Award. Endorsed by the Department of Education and the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos, MAMAY has been screened in schools nationwide.
Its success continued with the theme song “Hamon,” composed by Vehnee Saturno, produced by Mamay, and performed by Gerald Santos, winning Indie Movie Theme Song of the Year at the 41st PMPC Star Awards for Movies. Mamay was also named Outstanding Producer and Media Advocate of the Year at the same awards.
A passionate cultural advocate, Mamay serves as Executive Adviser of the Actors Guild of the Philippines, championing greater opportunities for Mindanao-based artists.
Through Mamay Productions, he produces films, concerts, and coffee table books. Upcoming projects include "OFW, One Life to Live," and "Babae sa Salamin." The Mangyan-themed film starring Ejay Falcon marks another step in his advocacy to empower artists and tell socially relevant Filipino stories.
“With Mamay Productions, our goal is simple yet powerful: to provide opportunities for artists, uplift the local film industry, and share meaningful Filipino stories that educate, entertain, and inspire audiences both here and abroad,” Mamay shared.
Reflecting on his milestone-filled year, he added: “2025 has been an overwhelming blessing. MAMAY was created from the heart of my journey, and seeing it receive recognition—while stepping into new national leadership roles—is something I will always be grateful for. These honors remind me that whether in governance or in film, the purpose remains the same: to inspire, uplift, and make a difference.”

With renewed purpose, expanded platforms, and a growing national presence, he enters 2026 ready to serve with even greater vision, impact, and reach.
