Arjo Atayde tuloy-tuloy ang pamamayagpag sa pagkapanalo sa ContentAsia Awards

IPINAMALAS muli ng actor-public servant na si Arjo Atayde ang kanyang status bilang internationally-acclaimed artist, matapos ang kanyang big win sa 2024 ContentAsia Awards na ginanap kamakailan sa Taipei, Taiwan. Itinanghal siya bilang Best Male Lead in a TV Program/Series para sa kanyang paganap sa papel ni Anton dela Rosa, ang complex at intense central character ng "Cattleya Killer."

 

Ang "Cattleya Killer" ay isang Filipino crime-thriller series mula sa ABS-CBN at Nathan Studios. Nag-premiere ito globally sa Prime Video noong June 1, 2023. Sa direksyon ni Dan Villegas at panulat ni Dodo Dayao, umiikot ito sa murder investigation na kunektado sa lumang kaso sangkot ang isang notorious serial killer. Pinagsasama ng show ang suspense, mystery, at psychological drama, habang pinapasok ang madidilim na lihim ng mga karakter at ang kuneksyon nila sa mga pagpatay.

 

Nakakuha ang show ng worldwide acclaim for its gripping plot, high production value, and strong performances, lalo na kay Arjo, kaya naman nakaposisyon ang "Cattleya Killer" bilang isa sa mga most significant Filipino crime dramas in recent years.

 

Sa awards ceremony sa Taipei, sinabi ni Arjo ang kanyang heartfelt gratitude sa lahat ng tumulong upang makamit niya ang victory na ito. “Thank you to everyone. I'm forever indebted to all the actors that I work with, to the people behind the camera, to everyone who's helped me be here, gather all this power to actually pull through this good series.”

 

Patuloy na pinasalamatan ni Arjo ang kanyang pamilya, lalo na ang kanyang asawa na si Maine Mendoza. “It's my first time in Taipei, this is such a reward for a first time here,” aniya. “Last but not the least, my family. Thank you so much to my family for supporting so much, to my wife who understands so much of the hard work that we have to pull through to be able to do this.”

 

Pinasalamatan din niya ang ABS-CBN sa suporta nito. “To ABS-CBN, Tita Cory Vidanes, Sir Carlo Katigbak, and of course, to Sir Ruel Bayani, thank you so much for this opportunity. To the Filipinos, to ABS-CBN, maraming, maraming salamat po,” sabi ni Arjo.

 

Ang performance ni Arjo sa "Cattleya Killer" ang tumalo sa lima pang mga nominado para sa tropeyo ng 2024. 

 

Ito ang latest sa string of international accolades para kay Arjo. It follows his 2020 Best Actor win at the Asian Academy Creative Awards for his role in "Bagman," kung saan ginampanan niya ang papel ng isang barbero na sangkot sa mapanganib na mundo ng pulitika. At si Arjo ang unang Pilipino na napangaralan ng pinaka-prestihiyosong platform para sa creative excellence ng rehiyon.

 

Maliban sa kanyang thriving acting career, nagsisilbi rin si Arjo bilang Representative ng Unang Distrito ng Quezon City, isang position na kanyang napanalunan by a landslide noong 2022 elections. His commitment to both his craft and public service showcases his multifaceted contributions to Philippine society.
