ENLIGHTEN: The IdeaFirst Film Festival ngayong April 12-14 na; Direk Jun at Direk Perci nagpapasalamat sa sampung taon ng kanilang kumpanya

Excited na sina Direk Jun Robles Lana at Direk Perci Intalan ng The IdeaFirst Company dahil lalarga na simula ngayong April 12 hanggang sa April 14 sa Gateway Cineplex ang ENLIGHTEN: The IdeaFirst Film Festival, na bahagi ng selebrasyon ng ika-sampung anibersaryo ng IdeaFirst, ang kanilang movie at production company.

Ayon nga kay Direk Jun, “First and foremost, we just want to celebrate making movies and content production. Up to now, it’s still a gig industry for artists and directors, so for you to be able to spend ten years doing this is cause for celebration.

“It’s also to remind us of the reason we are doing this. Yes, box-office results are important, but from the name itself, IdeaFirst, we are holding this festival also because we want to keep telling stories that matter to us, to keep shining light on stories that would otherwise be kept in the dark.”

Paraan din nila ang filmfest na ito to give back.

"Kasi hindi lang siya basta screening, mayroon ding Q&A. Because we want to be able to talk to the audience. Whether you’re a student interested in making films, the filmmakers will be there to share their thoughts, to help encourage other storytellers not to feel afraid and to just keep telling stories," paliwanag pa ni Direk Jun.

Pasasalamat din ang namutawi sa mga labi ni Direk Perci lalo na sa mga naging katuwang nila sa paggawa ng mga pelikula.

“We’re very thankful to our partner producers, those that we produced for at the start and later became our coproducers. We’re happy that they trusted us and did materials they normally wouldn’t do. Looking back, we realized this is what we stand for all along. Everybody can tell stories, and do it their own way. For IdeaFirst, these are the stories we want to tell and this is how we tell them. Our 10 years is proof that we’re doing something right," ani Direk Perci.

Ang bagong obra ni Direk Jun na "Your Mother's Son" ang magiging Opening Film sa filmfest. Dahil soldout na ang April 12 screening nito ay mapapanood na rin ito sa April 13. Ang "Your Mother's Son" ay pinagbibidahan nina Sue Prado, Kokoy De Santos, Miggy Jimenez, at Elora Españo.

Ang iba pang IdeaFirst movies na mapapanood sa ENLIGHTEN sa Gateway Cineplex mula April 12-14 ay kinabibilangan ng  "Anino Sa Likod ng Buwan," "Dementia," "Untrue," "Ang Manananggal sa Unit 23B," "Mahal Kita, Beksman," "Big Night," "Sleepless," "Distance," "I America," "Gameboys The Movie," "Mr. And Mrs. Cruz," "About Us But Not About Us," at "Die Beautiful."
