Dingdong Dantes at Alden Richards proud na mapabilang sa prime movers sa selebrasyon ng Mowelfund 50th Anniversary

Proud ang dalawa sa pinakasikat at pinakamabait na mga aktor sa Pilipinas na sina Dingdong Dantes at Alden Richards na kabilang sila sa prime movers na mangunguna sa iba't ibang activities at events na may kinalaman sa selebrasyon ng ika-50 anibersaryo ng Mowelfund - Movie Workers Welfare Foundation, Inc.

Ayon nga kay Dingdong, "It's a big milestone for the industry na you know yung tahanan natin ay magse-celebrate ng 50th year. Malaking bagay na at this point kasama ako rito sa board. Excited lang din talaga ako sa mga pwede pang gawin in the next fifty years, and of course after celebrating lahat ng mga nangyari in the past 50 years. I'm very excited lang sa buong members and body."

Sabi naman ni Alden, "Masaya ako kasi parang nabibigyang validation po yung pagbibigay tulong natin sa mga tao sa industriya. At the same time nakakataba ng puso na makita silang masaya after all that help we are giving."

Binati rin namin si Alden dahil siya pala ang utak at nanguna sa pag-suggest sa pagkakaroon ng Mowelfund Gala o Ball, kung saan magsasama-sama ang mga artista sa iba't ibang networks.

"Hindi lang po ako yun, lahat po kami," humble na pahayag ni Alden. "Of course, it will not be possible without the support of the people of the industry as well. Nasa pipeline na po yung Gala, so we'll just wait for further details. Ia-update po namin kayo."

Kabilang sina Dingdong at Alden sa Board of Trustees ng Mowelfund kasama sina Chairman Emeritus Joseph Estrada, Chairman Boots Anson Roa-Rodrigo, Vice Chairman Gina Alajar, CMB Film services mogul Jim Baltazar, Editor Direk Boy Vinarao, Foundation President & CEO Res Cortez, Vice President & COO Julius Topacio. Atty. Roderick Vera is Legal Counsel. Directors Emma Mon-alon for Administration & Finance, Joey Roa for Welfare, and Ricky Orellana for Education complete the Executive Committee.

Tampok sa Golden Anniversary ng Mowelfund ang ongoing online series na "Mowelfund Sessions" hosted by Alden and Dingdong na nagsasagawa ng in-depth interviews sa Mowelfund Trustees, Execom members, at iba pang prime movers at stakeholders ng foundation.

Sa kickoff event ng anniversary noong March 15 ay nagsagawa ng medical at dental mission para sa members na ginanap sa U.P. Bahay ng Alumni.
Kaabang-abang nga ang gaganaping Mowelfund Gala pati na rin ang Mowelfund Fun Run, at ang all star Music Fest.

Mowelfund is a private, non-stock, non-profit foundation mandated to provide medical and general welfare benefits to marginalized film workers, and to offer subsidized film education to students through its education arm, the Mowelfund Film Institute.
