Joshua Garcia, Rhian Ramos "Hakot King & Queen" sa 37th Star Awards for Television

MATAGUMPAY at maningning ang idinaos na 37th Star Awards for Television na ginanap nitong Linggo, Agosto 24, 2025 sa VS Hotel Convention Hotel sa Quezon City.
 
Handog ng Bingo Plus, pinarangalan at kinilala ng PMPC Star Awards, Inc. ang mga natatanging bituin at iba’t ibang programa ng telebisyon na ipinalabas noong 2023, na naipagpaliban ng grupo dahil sa pandemya. 

Nanguna sa mga pinarangalan ng gabing iyon sina Joshua Garcia at Rhian Ramos, na tinaguriang "Hakot King & Queen" dahil bukod sa napanalunan nilang main awards na Best Drama Actor para kay Joshua at Best Drama Actress para kay Rhian ay pareho rin silang humakot ng dalawang special awards.

Si Joshua ang kinilalang Male Face of the Night at Male Celebrity of the Night. Habang si Rhian naman ang nanalong Bingo Plus Female TV Star of the Year (ang boyfriend niyang si Sam Verzosa ang nagwagi sa male) at Female Face of the Night.

Biruan pa sa mga nanood ng awards night ay Paldo King & Queen din ang dalawa dahil lahat ng nakuha nilang awards ay may kasamang cash prizes mula sa sponsors.

Nagwagi si Joshua bilang Best Drama Actor para sa “Unbreak My Heart,” habang si Rhian bilang Best Drama Actress para sa “Royal Blood.” Ang dalawang programa ay parehong ipinalabas sa GMA-7.

Pahayag ni Joshua nang tanggapin ang parangal, “Maraming-maraming salamat, una sa Panginoon, and to my family and friends, sa ABS-CBN, sa GMA, sa Star Magic, and of course sa nagtiwala sa akin at nagbigay sa akin ng role na ‘to, kay Sir Deo Endrinal. 
 
“Hindi ko ito matatanggap kung hindi dahil sa co-actors ko, so thank you kina Jodi (Sta. Maria), Gabbi (Garcia), Richard Yap … of course, sa aming director at writers. Ang award na ito ay para sa buong team ng ‘Unbreak My Heart.”
 
Pinasalamatan naman ni Rhian ang GMA 7, mga kasamahan sa “Royal Blood” at mga mahal sa buhay.
 
“I would like to dedicate this to my home network, GMA 7, to whom I have dedicated 19 years of my life, and I will continue to dedicate every good thing that comes to me. Thank you so much, GMA, for the trust in me.
 
“I also want to thank my boyfriend (Sam Verzosa) who always encourages me and makes me believe that I’m great and that I can do things,” sabi ni Rhian.
 
Humakot din ng awards ang GMA 7 sa pag-uwi ng pinakamaraming tropeyo, kabilang ang Best TV Station, Best Drama Anthology para sa  “Magpakailanman,” Best News Program para sa “24 Oras,” Best Magazine Show para sa “Kapuso Mo,Jessica Soho,” at iba pa.
 
Sa larangan ng pagganap, pinarangalan sina Alden Richards at Rochelle Pangilinan bilang Best Single Performances by an Actor and Actress, respectively, para sa “Magpakailanman." Best Drama Supporting Actor si Elijah Canlas para sa "Senior High" at Best Drama Supporting Actress si Cherry Pie Picache para sa "FPJ's Batang Quiapo."
 

LIFETIME HONORS and SPECIAL AWARDS:
 
Nagbigay-pugay ang PMPC sa apat na haligi ng Philippine Television sa paghahandog ng Ading Fernando Lifetime Achievement Awards.
 
Iginawad ito sa 92-year old veteran actress na si Caridad Sanchez (tinanggap ng anak nitong si Cathy Sanchez Babao, presented by Sylvia Sanchez), legendary host Ariel Ureta (presented by Boots Anson-Roa), dance icon Geleen Eugenio (presented by Maribeth Bichara), at TV executive Malou Choa Fagar (presented by Joey Marquez na kanyang alaga).  
 
Nagbalik-tanaw na tinanggap ni Angelique Lazo ang kanyang Excellence in Broadcasting Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by Bill Velasco.
 
Ang German Moreno Power Tandem Award ay iginawad sa popular loveteams na sina Barbie Forteza at David Licauco para sa “Maria Clara at Ibarra” at “Maging Sino Ka Man’) at kina Francine Diaz at Seth Fedelin (para sa “Dirty Linen”).

SIBONGA TINUPAD ni Beautederm CEO and founder Rhea Anicoche Tan ang kanyang pangako na magdo-donate ng isang milyong piso sa Kasuso Foundation na pinamamahalaan ng  Ogie Diaz para sa breast cancer patients. Sa Christmas party ng Kasuso Foundation na ginanap noong December 1, ibinigay na ni Ms. Rhea ang tseke na nagkakahalaga ng isang milyong piso para sa breast cancer patients na tinutulungan ng foundation.
